IMO, KP2 is a great investment and a great opportunity. I think you've got the right ticket.
Just to be clear, the original DFS has already been released months ago. It is the optimised DFS that has now been promised (as per my understanding of the GM. Would be good if someone else who listened in could confirm they heard the same things).
As per the MoU, KP2 received the Construction Optimisation Study about 2 months ago, and we are now awaiting:
- news about KP2's review of the Construction Optimisation Study.
- an updated DFS based on the Construction Optimisation Study and updated potash prices.
- the engineering, procurement & construction agreement (EPC agreement) from the Consortium.
- the financing proposal.
This is a massive deal, so it's not surprising that KP2 is working through this carefully and diligently. IMO any news released to the market can significantly influence the next stage/process of the deal, so KP2 not only needs to consider it's current position but also needs to look ahead to what is best for the next step in the process.
IMO, KP2 would already have largely reviewed the Optimisation Study and would have already worked on the figures for the optimised DFS, but has not released these details yet for good and strategic reasons. These reviews only matter within the context of the EPC agreement and financing proposal.
As mentioned before, I think the GM resolutions point to confidence in the progress of the deal, and if that is accurate, then it's just a matter of time until the news starts to flow. That news could be imminent or it could take a little more time to occur, but when it does start to flow then those who bought in early and were patient will be rewarded.
