In Tassie if found with less than 50 grams, you’re eligible for a caution, which allows you to avoid further charges. No more than 3 cautions can be given over a 10 year period. 50gm is a fair bit of pot
Bit tougher in WA where if caught with less than 8gm you can opt to attend a counselling session and not go to court, but only once. Next time it goes to court.
