Yeah MAK and there are still some places that still use morse code as well, if you want to use that support your case against my wireless comment. I agree the speeds that can be achieved by wired are greater ......for now. Thats when then it comes down to cost. Ask the majority of australians if cost is not a significant factor in their purchasing decisions. Referring back to my comment about plasma's, how many people on minimun wage dont have a plasma? none. Why because even a broke person on centrelink can still afford a plasma. Its a cost thing.

There will always be a requirement in the future for wired connection however given that 95% of the population of australia lives in the main population centres, there is significant opportunity for quality wireless. Of course it doesnt rely on satillites, they are needed for where coverage is below expectation, say 10%. So 10% of a heap load of money is still a lot of money. Here's a business tip everyone taken from an EMBA. Dont have a product and try to make everyone use it. Find a gap in the market and give people what they want.

Like i said in a previous post. If it looks like a dog and barks like a dog. Then its a dog. As my sociology lecturer said, nothing in the future should come as a surprise as you just have to look at today's society for clues.
