· Breathtaking paceof rising interest rates – up goes cost of finance. Interest-free payment offering in a business that alreadygenerates slim margins & a business model founded on easy supply of cheapmoney – well, that’s going to work well.

Back in December, Zip said it hadtotal debt of $2.4 billion, with net assets at $1.2 billion. Zip, the loss-making company has about $400 million of debt that needs to be refinanced in the next 2 years mmm not good, especially in a spiking interest rate environment - concerns among investors over its future? Undoubtably.
These about ‘specifics’ are crucialelements of Zip’s business model & thatunfortunately implies continuing woes for Zip investors. This will also likely impact on Zips expansion plans - SZL?

Zip was already one of the worstperformers on the ASX before this weeks market rout. Good to see a bit of a bounce today but would seem to be a dead cat!
