    @hawthorn8 - howdy - back!!!!
    I have been busy, too - need to get on with getting my place sorted.
    Normal (black) tea probably dehydrates - Coffee definitely dehydrates (in Europe they always serve a glass of water alongside the coffee)
    Herbal teas should be o.k. - they are usually just the natural herb which has been dried out, but not fermented like black tea, or dried and roasted like coffee.
    I just bought a few packets of herbal tea - have fussy visitors coming round on Sunday and want to give them a choice of tea.
    Chamomile is delicious, too!
    Wow, you've had your thyroid gland removed - do you take some replacements for what the thyroid gland produces? Important for so many body systems!!
    Dehydration: I always have a glass of water on my bedside table and drink from it when I wake up, but during the day tend to drink tea or coffee.
    But have no major health problems as such, just getting older . . . .
    Go well
    Taurisk
