Hi, not holding as yet. Would appreciate it if could shed some light on the Tax.
What is the tax reduced to as per the treaty between Aust & USA assuming the form mentioned below is completed.
Is there a USA Tax & Aust Tax on dividends,. Much appreciated.
The default US withholding tax deducted from dividends to Australian residents is 30%. However, in
accordance with the existing tax treaty between the US and Australia, the withholding tax rate can be decreased if the
appropriate form (eg Form W-8BEN-E or form W-8BEN) was submitted by the beneficial owner of the Australian CDIs to
our Australian share registry, Link Market Services Pty Ltd, by the Record Date.
