Your post says it all - it's just idealogical nonsense.
We need power generation first and foremost.
If that turns out to be more reliable using fossil fuels then that needs to be how it is.
We all want clean air - but the time has come for so called renewables to be cut off from public funding until it is reliable - it is not - and events are now proving this.
The climate zealots need to be seen for the one eyed loonies they are.
If not Coal or Gas then we must move to nuclear until an alternative source of generation is found - You can run a household with renewables and batteries (possibly), especially if you don't care about the economics - You cannot run a country on Wind and Solar.
