Received my call yesterday and after giving the poor woman at the end of the phone my two bobs worth, her world weary phone voice told me that she's been getting the same for some time.
I believe they are worried the smug @@@@ on the board might just find this blowing up in their faces especially with this sentiment that the instos could be doing something other than playing for a guaranteed 3 or 2 cents a share.
I can see two possibilities, which I have considered all along and is why I haven't sold a share. BHP may sweeten the deal following the massive positive sentiment in IO since this was all started just to make sure this all looks above board (because it doesn't right now) and to quell any bad feedback/fallout.
OR it gets knocked back and the price flies because everyone will be scrambling to get back in because of the booming IO market and the fact UMC will still be there like a sitting duck waiting to be knocked off by someone else or a more realistic bid by our present good neighbours.
I've hit despair a few times over this and come very close to selling out and moving on but at this moment I am feeling better about voting no and holding.
This could have a few more twists in it yet.
