"A disastrous turn of events, but a result many foresaw." - the last part very important. you are speaking retrospectively instead of trying to predict the future. What has already been known why is it relevant now?
"There were many warnings, most of which were specific toResourcesTech Bubble and not just industry or market wide concerns." - Fixed for you
"I do feel for those who felt that holding strong, was the infallible strategy. Warren buffet proved buy and hold works, but even he doesn’t hold when the risk or underlying asset changes, including the market in which said risk or asset operates. Capital preservation is key and the timing of exiting positions which stagnate is vital to building wealth, rather than allowing your capital to diminish or “languish” in hope that time cures all." - I agree however it is not applicable here. Firstly, there are many keys, some being timing the market, some being holding long term, you can't have all the keys unless you are absolutely godlike, therefore most people stick to a particular strategy e.g. short or long - those that don't utilise a cookie cutter strategy may leaves themselves vulnerable to mistakes such as selling your stuff at the end of a selloff. It is not applicable here because the people here do not think the story has changed and the announcements support that. Tech money is out where does it go, turmoil everywhere, where to put my money the inflation rate is up and up, it's gotta go somewhere - they are looking for real projects now not pretend tech conglomerates who made no profit in 20 years yet 20 bil market cap.
It is now clear to me @BacHoNguyen is not simply here to just shit talk. And I pity any fool who ignored him and no longer gets to see that he was absolutely spot on just a couple months ago, whether or not he remains to be correct with his "it will take years to get out of these events" prediction is still to be seen. But I can tell you now as I said before, there is not a person in this room that is always right about everything.
