Right now there are lot of dumb/silly money being cashed out or piled in on the whims of retail investers no matter what the stock.

In the case of WDS do we think the average owner of WDS knows the difference between Henry Hub or EGS, Mmbtu and that crude is not petrol?

Smart investers and fundies I would suspect are all just waiting on the sidelines, scratching their heads.

Many people on the street I talk to believes that once the Ukraine/Russian war is concluded oil/gas will go back to status quo, I tell them that....

1. Ukraine - win the war -> Russian Oil/GAS won't flow to Western nations for decade+
2. Russia - win the war -> Russian Oil/GAS won't flow to Western nations for decade+
3. Truce -> Russian Oil/GAS won't flow to Western nations for decade+
4. Putin assassination or natural death, plus Regime Change with new PRO West Kremlin - than maybe a few years before Russia Oil/GAS flows to the west.
5. China will come out of lock downs and there will be tens of millions more cars on Chinese roads.

WDS have to be careful not to be in the same postion with AGL coal plants and be saddled with political pressure to maintain operations without compensation when the market turns.

Though there are more uses of Gas/Oil than just electrical generations, if the developed nations moves away from using Gas for electricity in the next 5 to 10 years (easily done with politican will) that is 40% hole in the world Gas market!

The facts are, Renewables will get huge subsidies by every Developed country (and some developing) to build more Wind/Solar/Hydro/Thermal/Nuclear/Battery infastructure to take electricity generation off GAS.
