When the original trials were conducted in India and America we were hoping for results that were around 85% successful at detecting a positive Covid test as it would resemble similar success rates in RAT tests. If we achieved that we had expectation that this will change the world in how we test for Covid with simplicity and without the wastage of current testing materials. So here we are at 84% and apparently the sky is falling. Wake up people, regardless if there is some dodgy dealings happening behind closed doors from either parties or both, Pfizer aren't walking away from this, they are just getting it cheaper.
