GAL is a volatile new discovery stock (so was CHN) in a volatile market so expect strong moves up and down for a while.

This is exactly the type of opportunity holders of exploration stocks hope to get - they come only to the lucky few now and then, and must be played with cool judgement. It may help some of us to look back to price action of CHN, DEG, SIR, GOR to pick a few from my own memory and experience, after the first blush of passion has past.

I am encouraged by the presence of two separate disseminated sulphide layers in hole NRC277 - as shown in this snip from today's report - Two layers totaling 33m and separated by 21m - assays will be very interesting.

As @ainsleym noted this morning the possibility of a sulphide trap or embayment in the dipping substrate is encouraging of a high grade massive sulphide ore body.
I remind readers of the mechanism of the deposition of these ore bodies - the valuable metals come up from depth dissolved in an ultramafic magma in concentrations far too low to be mined economically. The pressure of the upwelling intrusive lifts the country rock to create spaces into which the magma can spread out - if the space is horizontal, which is common, the magma cools to form sills.
Only if the country rock contains sulphur and is melted into the hot magma can the valuable metals form sulphides which precipitate out as solid crystals because of their low melting point and settle because of their higher density. In effect the sulphur swaps over from common minerals in the country rock to the metals in the magma which have a greater chemical affinity for it.

To create a massive sulphide strata, the magma must remain fluid long enough for the sulphides to settle to the bottom and be trapped, otherwise a disseminated sulphide layer forms, and often more than one corresponding to several periods of magmatic intrusion.

As ainsleym suggested the holy grail is a lipped saucer shaped embayment to contain a huge massive sulphide ore body, nevertheless where the same amount of metals remains trapped as a disseminated deposit by the cooling of the magma in the sill highly mechanised industrial mining can still recover the valuable metal economically.

It seems clear to me there is a long way to go here, maybe the selloff was by some who do not have the stomach for that - no worry, the people who got rich have it, and the cash to prove it.

The usual Good Luck, do your own DD and do it again.
