Well i only know of one take-over which was URAMIN (Trekkopje) in the summer of 2007:

On the 20th March 2007 AREVA announced that they bought a 5.51 % stake of URAMIN:

On the 27th of April Uramin published this study:

On the 15th June 2007 AREVA made their take-over offer for ~18 USD/lbs:

On the 31st July 2007 the take-over was completed:

So everything happened pretty fast.It was a matter of months between initial investment and final take over.
As i recall Uramin had already proven considerable resources,when Areva bought in.
Obviously AREVA was really determined to auire this project.
As we are the direct neighbours,i hope we will see similar determination in our case ;-)
