Is there a real gain to shareholders?
Or is it a bit like the three people who go into a restaurant for a meal and will equally share the bill.
The bill arrives for $2.50 and they give the waiter $1 each,$3. Hard to distribute the change,$0.50, so give the waiter $0.20 tip and take $0.10 change each.
So each diner has spent $0.90 and the waiter got $0.20. And (3x$0.90) + $0.20 is $2.90. $0.10 has gone somewhere!
Can NMS maybe do this to our benefit?
