If it helps, I've lost lots on other companies recently to offset the gain on my 3cents parcel I sold at $1 before the $2.60 surge. Buying back in now.
But just consider what's going on here, if Steve wanted to claim glory of getting LKE to actual production, and the Board were getting cagey about whether he was the guy, he probably knew that he could leave in a way the market would react in his favour, get at least some money from his shares, and he can put himself forward for another gig given he has at least some track record.
