I think there’s going to be trouble on the near horizon for Shorty. VUL developed an early habit of sucker-punching: delivering more than one set of positive news in a consecutive fashion without warning. With the free run Shorty has had of late, I’d be covering my ass(ets) now if I were short this stock because I don’t think we’ve heard the last from Francis Wedin this month. What extra nuggets Stellantis may have learnt during due diligence to give it the confidence to invest will undoubtedly need to reach our ears soon too.
