We can only guess unfortunately. But here's one hypothetical I can put together from the last Vietnam-Briefing article I posted and the other one which was suppressed because this forum are not allowed to know about the Vinfast leadership shakeup.

Hypothetical only, not even an opinion:

After Ecopro imploded and no partnership was inked to develop the DBU, BSX desperately sought a new partnership. Vingroup naturally came to mind and the Vinfast leadership team suggested a European company called Kreisel Electric, mentioned in the Vietnam Briefing piece as a Vingroup battery partner. Unfortunately Kreisel is majority owned by Jonh Deere who want nickel for tractor batteries not for Vingroup EV's, leading to the sacking of Vinfast employees for potential performance issues as alluded to in the suppressed piece that you have to google yourself to read. Not facts, not opinion, just a hypothetical dreamed up from the facts mentioned in those news articles also mentioned. An update from the Company might clear things up though
