Anybody who thinks that you can store power in a battery to operate a aluminium or alloy smelter has got rocks in their head. When a smelter like Press Metal Aluminium in Sarawak Malaysia would require an area the size of Canberra covered with solar panels and enough batteries to lay end on end from Canberra to Sydney.
