Australia does not have an energy crisis that requires physical infrastructure
Australia's current energy 'crisis' is merely administrative from piss poor management
Australia's current energy 'crisis' is from not acting or behaving as a nation
Australia's current energy 'crisis' is completely and solely due to capitalism without any thought to reserving fuel for the nation itself - AND at a guaranteed price
Australia's current energy 'crisis' is because of the failure of government
it wouldn't matter if it were pumped hydro, coal, gas or harnessed elephants turning a wheel
if Australia lets foreign owners own it's resources and sell them to whoever they wish at whatever price they wish -
then, Australia will always be at huge risk.
the lessons --
- business does NOT run critical services better than government
- privatisation is a catastrophic failure
- government should fully control vital services - eg. water, power, sewerage, fuel. It should also have the full power to command security of food, shelter, housing and any other vital need for survival
