The legend himself, Dr Itescu always said that inflammation was at the heart of all diseases, and I have always assumed that was close to or on the money. Now there is further proof in the treatment of the single biggest killer of all human beings..... Sepsis.... or systemic inflammation......

The mortality rate for the 7^thand 14^thdays of the 10 patients who were administered MSCs was 0%, while the mortality rate for the 28^thday was 30%. In the control group, the mortality rate was 40%, and the majority of the deaths were observed before the 5^thand 7^thdays of treatment.


This trial was not using bone marrow MSC cells witch are renowned for their maximal reduction in inflammation, and instead used adipose derived cells.... Still you can see huge reduction in inflammation indicating CRP levels in the treatment group, and big mortality benefits.

Watch this space, I think MSB will be looking in this field in the not too distant future, once their commercialization and self funding ability kicks into gear.
SOFA score increase of 2 or more is indicative of sepsis... you can see the scores reverse and drop after treatment with MSC... I wonder how much better Reme would have been !....
