Maybe some of you look at the stock too much - I have asked comsec to put a fair few of my stocks back to issuer sponsored so i don't have to look at them whenever i log on - I might monitor these stocks every few days or even weekly.

Don't know if Buffett would have bought esg, wasn't he big into stocks with cash flows - interesting to ponder at how much shareholder money ( not just Aussie as BG has been one of the big spenders ) has been thrown at csg and how many profits have there been - sto and org are getting some decent profits on domestic sales as they have been going a while but they have also spent a lot on development and even buying leases ( org just bought one off Pangea a while ago -600m ). Aoe some $30m n.p. odd I think ( before rightoffs but will grow ), and Qgc would still be getting some revenue sub $100m I think. Mpo and Mel small revenue and Bow likewise i think.

Gas and csg are at a bit of a crossroads - we don't want news of more gas finds to be like it was some years ago - "Not more frigging gas".

Obviously LNG is the big deal, but if more power switches to gas in nsw then esg will get a fair share of that,( despite agl with their ex sydney gas and gloucester leases); and of course the conventional gas suppliers are still there and there are new entrants.

those who are keen on a STO takeover, it is interesting to ponder if the accc would get involved - it did knock back the takeover of Qgc which seemed ridiculous - sto supplies nsw through Moomba and the pipeline but does it also supply from elsewhere? It is early days with its own csg down there but offshore Vic or sthn nsw is it involved or is that mainly just org - does Bass straight gas get to Nsw? How many gas suppliers to nsw and how much market share would sto and esg have??

Of course there is always an opportunity cost in just leaving things sit - i toyed with selling csl( a long term holding) in early Mar at near $40 and buying the banks - thank goodness i still managed to buy some of the banks when they were cheap, but holding csl has not been clever to date.
