2 Sided means they are testing whether p is equal to a value AND whether it's not equal to a value. It doesn't mean results would be better on a one-sided test.
Statically they are saying that they are 80% sure that the overall survival rate is between 36% and 93% - with the most likely value being a 58.5% survival rate.
It's worth remembering that these were very sick people with cancers so advanced they couldn't be cut out.
The results are promising and show survival; the neoHorizon and nextHorizon trials will hopefully be able to refine these results further.
