Hi Bregitta & all others,

I think today's trading action has thrown everyone off a bit. Let's not focus too much on the date of the meeting etc like day traders, we should focus on if it's highly likely that a very good project could be acquired very soon. my answer is yes, & all the fuss about the date of meeting is that it's quite logical & normal for companies to announce some very good news to get the volumes & price kicking & then brokers, heavy weights could add their power behind to pump it along, so by the time the shares get issued, there's already enough avg trading volume in the mkt to let the placement share volumes out easily & very profitably too. This is what normally happens & I think a few of us here including me earlier were getting ahead of ourselves thinking like DTers & were hoping the price would now power along everyday leading up to the issue. (For an example of this kind of pumping, see WTN thread & how everyone talked about big boys pushing this now to get set for Feb placement).

But iv also seen pumping happened way after placement shares were issued & it was pumped BIG TIME! Look at ADO, the majority of placement shares & oppies were issued back in Nov & they waited for 2 whole months till the news was released, so i wouldnt be surprised if news doesnt get released until the shares are actually issued. Then whoever doing the pumping will feel a lot more safer with shares already on hand. (BTW, the shares will be approved IMO, we retail holders worry about dilution, but the majority holder with the voting rights will want the approval to happen, they are all connected with brokers/mates in many cases & they know exactly what's gonna happen to the MV of their shares if approved).

Obviously i prefer news before meeting, but il be happy either way as long as the ADO type pumping happens. 2 month wait for almost 2000% gain on heads, i dont mind waiting for 2 years to be honest!

So the key here is as long as a good project is acquired, pump will happen sooner or later. Judged by the way the price is manipulated, these guys are pro & i think they'l know exactly what kind of projects they'l have to acquire & in what sectors (im all for gold, IO, coal, manganese). & there's abosolutely no reason whatsoever why a project cant be found. Distressed sellers everywhere still, the brokers will make huge profits by finding the company a good project (fees, & gains made on placement shares for clients etc). Look at how SHE, CLN & GLA turned around SP.

Finally, they do need to worry about speeding tkt. They'v done a marvellous job so far pumping this from 0.6 to 3 without getting anything, but to continue pumping from 3 to 6 or even 10c on the back of no news is like talking to ASX in the face "catch me if u can", i dont think that'l go down well.

To me, it's getting clearer. They may already have a perfect acquisition candidate, some due diligence done already, but for some reason, they'r not yet in the best position to announce news yet (whether be it more details to be finalised, or they feel more comfortable announcing news after shares are issued), but we here on HC were already spreading rumour around & it looked like every man & his dog were trying to jump on this. If share price pops above 3 today, they may not be able to contain the rise & ASX will then be all over them. Hence, the very pro like dump straight from opening to kill any momentum (a normal P&D, big boys would never dump like that, they would at least let it run given the huge momentum at open). I concluded this morning's action has the word "capping" & "take a chill pill, HC DTers! wait for the ann" written all over it. & that's exactly what im gonna do, chill out & patiently wait for the news & the inevitable pumping sooner or later, b4 or after meeting.
