For what its worth I believe that whats happening to the EVN share price is also happening to other gold mining stocks - granted EVN is taking a bigger kicking than others - that leads to the question why? 1. Well holders are just selling and crystallising their losses - many have lost faith in the stock and more broadly gold and its story under the current scenario of money printing, war and rising prices for everything 2. If the notion that the gold market is manipulated then gold stocks are also manipulated by the same entities - after all stock prices must fall along with the gold price so that the manipulation scenario is consistent. Over the years I've seen this movie play out more than once - the manipulation strategy shakes out all the weak holders while the manipulators scoop up those shares and ounces all the way down, I've heard this referred to as the bloodbath phase it further tests the resolve of the strong holders, tested further by the environment of fear the manipulators create. The fundamentals do not support such a reaction imot. When the selling is exhausted the price will be allowed to rise and all those who sold will have been fleeced - yet again - and those who engineered this will also benefit from the rise in prices of gold and stocks. Of course the price of gold and stocks must be managed higher because if it isnt then many will start to see that perhaps gold is signaling what many said in the first place persistently high inflation. Perhaps my thesis is wrong and everything is just free market forces at work...................I also believe in Santa and the Easter Bunny
