No one can repeatedly forecast the future, but we need to keep an eye out for potential trouble spots. After a brilliant run in the Market since March 2009, many of us are building in similiar expectations, however the markets take nothing as a given. It is in times like now when we can become slack & make false assumptions that are not supported by the facts.
Whilst my Advance Decline indicators are still positive for the US, it is the Hang Seng which has broken its 100 day moving average & needs to be watched closely. The Hang Seng seems to be in worst shape than the SSEC at present. No need for panic but a little caution & review of risks strategies could be in order. Fortunately or unfortunately depending on the situation, China's direction has a far bigger impact on our market than many of us recognize.
