By all means buy in at open, the problem is when do you get out. Once it starts running (which it will) you start spending the money in your head and keep hanging on for that few extra $$$$. The traders get out, you think its just a breather in the share price and it will be back to its highs. All of a sudden you are back to where you started and panic sets in

By this time all you want to do is get back that lost profit and you hang in there. We all know that hanging in there is only beneficial if there are more announcments and 9 times ot of 10 there is not. Frustration turns to anger and then you get the icing on the cake......"I told you so" from the wife.
