I also know and love mineral exploration and shares in that sector. IMU seems to have similar characteristics to mineral explorers. At first a great project is underway and is very high risk and has a reasonable chance of failure. As the trial results come in the project has reduced risk and at some point the institutional investors take positions where retail shareholders may have funded and held the early stage high risk shares.

Once the institutions get involved there is a period of share price rises, falls and dumps that make little sense when correlated with the company progress announcements. Retail holders cry foul and market manipulation. Scare tactics and ramping on Internet sites like this need to be ignored and you need to do your own analysis of the science as presented and what that means for the fundamental value of the company.

Afters a few years with more positive news the fundamental value of the company cannot be ignored and the share price rises. Just as great mineral discoveries cannot be manipulated away nor can great clinical trial results from IMU.

Being able to hold and ride out the early stages of institutional investment, providing the science and value creation remains sound and continues, is important to benefiting from the discoveries.

IMU is derisking with trial results just as an explorer does with each set of good drill results. With explorers the share price re rating can happen quickly and often seems to be weight of evidence based, one or two good announcements don't appear to lead to a sustained higher share price.

I feel IMU is getting close to the leap to a sustainable higher price.
