I fully accept China has not got a good reputation for enhancing workers safety and protection which is why developed nations should put pressure on them to improve in this area.
However many developed nations such as those shown in the statistics also did not have a good reputation for enhancing workers safety and protection in the time periods the statistics relate to - if they did the statistics would not be what they are.
