There are a lot of confused people on this thread trying to excuse traitors. The reason our country decided to go to war does not excuse traitors.

When our country goes to war we put the lives of our soldiers on the line. It is not the role of the soldier to consider all the political and strategic issues which lead to the decision to go to war. This is the duty of the citizens at the ballot box. The soldier implements the will of the people expressed through the ballot box.

Whether we individually agree with their mission or not we must support our soldiers. We owe them our support.

It does not matter whether the war is a cause supported by the left (Afghanistan, Korea, WW2) or opposed by the left (Vietnam). Our soldiers deserve our support either way.

Citizens who have the right to vote at home, didn't get their way then actively support the enemy during combat are tritors. Lord Haw Haw was hanged by the British after WW2, a traitor of the air waves.

Jane Fonda, pictured at a North Vietnamese gun emplacement was also a traitor of the air waves. She also gave information about individual American prisoners.

David Hicks, pictured with rocket launcher. Captured in a war zone. Unlike Haw Haw or Fonda actually took up arms with the enemy.
