Some blockbuster news in the last few days coming out of Canada. Massive support announced by their national government Thursday their time, and clearly aligned with moves from Western nations to counter Chinese dominance in critical metals. (Interesting aside is that the first wave of lithium exploration and development in Quebec was largely on the back of Chinese money, but this time around the Chinese seem mostly absent).

I keep banging on about this but I would really like to see Allkem making some early stage investments. We already know what they are doing for the next three or four years and that they are set for decades in the salars of Argentina. I would like to see them put at least some seed funds into additional projects for the latter part of the decade. They should take advantage in the current dip in lithium project prices to stock their pantry now, preferably in Minerals Security Partnership covered jurisdictions like Quebec and WA. I continue to believe that Allkem is no way a $13 stock and I am also fairly sure that the likes of Winsome will not be valued by the market at under $30m for much longer.
