My point was, did the government have an election mandate to join that war. To have to wait several years after being forced into conflict to register democratic objection is far too late. It's not as if this region was being invaded, the future 'threat' of that was the excuse used to invade a foreign country.
It was not a low blow, I did qualify it with 'in the extreme'and those thousands of innocent civilians killed and maimed might find that qualification objectionable.
There's always middle ground and that's where the truth usually hides. Try moving there, it's a better place to be.
