    ALL/ANY battery can provide reactive power support. Yes, this is done through the inverter as current is drawn by the battery. The reason a Li-ion battery does this better than any other is because they have greater power rating … so draw more current … so correct more power. If you installed a Redflow battery that was 4x the size (MWh), yes, it could do the same job on reactive power as the Li-ion one.

    Those 3 projects are specified for lithium - no other battery can compete for those short duration specs! Not sure why you keep posting about that article when I gave you a link to an article that reports the Clean Energy Council’s lobbying for storage targets that will actually benefit medium-term battery storage technologies. I would have thought RFX holders would see that article as positive news to discuss. Curious.
