I want to be a believer in Petrobras although the word "independence" used by MEO in official ASX announcements still bothers me. Petrobras IS majority owned and can be and has been controlled by the state. Petrobras confirm this on their website as a risk factor for investors.

isn't it a criminal offence to provide false or misleading info to the market?
