Couldn't resist a nibble at $30.19 (even though WDS is 19% of portfolio).
My mate at Woodside says they're printing money and so far the merger with BHP personnel is going fine, just the usual IT, payroll integration bugs, but nothing significant.
Bearish indicators:
Brent just slumped by 9%
Europe/USA recession risk.
Refinery capacity shortage.
Bullish indicators (from Aus shareholder viewpoint):
LNG contracts have 3 month lag to Brent (and JCC?)
JKM LNG still going North (17% of sales are spot)
AUD weakening
Big franked dividend coming up
Potential for well priced project partner buy-in announcements around HY results.
Ukraine/Russia war dragging on.
Supply shortages.
ESG hopium is crashing into reality.
USA and UK listings appears to have caught on (based on ticker liquidity). Wait until they see the +10% dividend.
Competitor fuels are staying strong (see NEWC futures thermal coal edging up for several months out).
