    mlc, you completely missed one crucial point when mentioning insurance policy. What insurance policy have the pro AGW proponents got if it turns out the climate change is completely driven by forces outside the power of mankind to change? The insurance policy you mentioned assumes man can reverse the changes occurring, that is a huge assumption, arrogant even. The danger with such arrogance is that time and resources are going to be squandered when preparations could be made to accomodate climate change rather than reverse it. Make no mistake, it is the pro AGW proponents who are keeping the population blinded to this possibility....But then that is the nature of man isn't it? They build in areas prone to flooding or fires then moan about their bad luck when the inevitable happens and they were caught unprepared. Me thinks much better to build on higher ground than to build a levee, especially one funded by an ETS.
