What is stopping them selling it to the mint and buying the equivalent amount straight back and storing it on the balance sheet. Uranium developers are doing it now and it has significantly gone up in value and supported the balance sheet.
It would be a vote of confidence for shareholders and the wider community. Surely, gold mining executives have confidence in the product they are producing.
