You raise a good point, i used the weight of flake graphite not a solid block of pure graphite.

A cubic metre of water weighs 1000kg so anything with less density than that, floats. I had assumed that the 641kg was correct because the way we initially purify the graphite is using a floatation tank. Doing a bit more research i can see that a cubic metre of pure graphite is about 2,500kgs. So there is a chance i've used the wrong input for graphite. However i am also assuming that it is flake graphite that leaves the mine site to head off to the PSG plant.

Thanks for the feedback, i'm starting to think i'm just muddying the water rather than helping so i might let this calc go!
