You miss the point, Why take it off site in the first place ? They could just as easily have built the Onslow plant at Yangibana. Why transport Radionuclides back and forth when the is no need to ? There will always be a hole, because the waste goes to a Tailings impoundment not back in the mined-out hole, not a problem.
