I agree with MLC that a risk management approach is justified. You may be skeptical that you will be hit by another car in a traffic acident, but you still take out car insurance in case you do get hit. The potential loss with AGW is astronomical. To sit around and wait for the skeptics to get off the fence or for irrefutable evidence (as if we don't have it already) to appear on silver platter on a red velvet cushion carried by the Angel Gabriel directly from Heaven above is very poor fiscal and environmental management and if and when I do have children I'd really hate for the planet to be messed up due to lobbying pressure from recalcitrant skeptics waiting for 'more evidence'. You'd think that even just cleaning up the atmosphere we breathe on the planet we live on would be good enough reason to change our ways, but, no, apparently not... not even for the pretend "hey, deep down I'm a greenie too, but I'm not really convinced about this AGW caper" brigade.
