Probably Greg. As we know the rise started last Wednesday so there's been ample time to put out an announcement IF there was something positive happening - otherwise it looks pretty odd. Nothing new there eh...
In the last few weeks it's only been negative news coupled with wishywashy research notes as well as Harry Karelis resigning from the board not long before the HHI deal collapsed. He is a +6% shareholder in HHI so something about the deal might not have sat well with him.
So the market can't have been aware of anything positive to warrant even a 20% rise, nevermind 100%.
One odd figure today crept in to the Depth side - though it can be full of prop orders etc.. Out of around 27,000 total shares on the sell side going for between $2-$4, there was a crazy one thrown in there (and it's still there as I type) for 428 shares at $25 !! I thought there was some kind of restriction on the percentage multiple of what the average prices offered was - if you know what I mean. That $25 mark certainly drew my attention, maybe others' too..
Ok, now that the explanation is out (re Germany) must have a look....
