I keep hearing doom and gloom on the news, but my business calls paint a different picture. Today we were informed that a project was going to be canceled, not because funding was cut or other budget issue... no it was because we can not find enough people to do the work. The company I work for is headquartered in the US but has locations in Europe, Australia, Mexico and Canada. In Q1 almost all of the talk was about inflation and what we needed to do as a business to control costs. Now we have great sales and more projects than people. As per the usual I believe the news is a bit behind reality. I would be interested to know if others have seen similar recoveries in their line of work.
