I think this is where the answer is misunderstood.
Trillions of dollars will not help. Sri Lanka is uncompetitive because of the west and only seen as an outpost for exploitation by the elite.
Unless taxes on land and buildings is allowed to kick start the economy nothing will get going because prices are too high. Trickle down does not work in Sri Lanka because no one has enough and the elite do not have a vast pool to take from.
So USA and the global elite including the IMF cannot help Sri Lanka. They can only get going when they leave Swift and abandon the dollar because USA does not go to Sri Lanka anyway
