All that's going on here, in this scenario, is to hitch a ride on the up trend, arguably the best indicator you can get, buy in tranches on each new high (spread the risk), but you've got to sell when you sense the trend has changed. Sell early. Sell the lot.
What then? Wait. Look for a floor on the downtrend, wait for a new uptrend and do it all again.You must always like the stock to do this. This is a very aggressive way to trade the stock and it's best to have this mentality in the first place. Not advice.
