Some posters seem to live in an alternate universe like the Russian media.
Last time I checked virtually every Australian gold miner is down and this is happening worldwide.
Many Canadian explorers even those hyped by Sprott are down to 25% of where they were.
Gold in US dollars down again .
The price of some of these explorer stocks with great discoveries are incredibly cheap right now (not DEG however)
Kinross bought GBR before the current bear market ,I have little doubt they are regretting the price they paid.
KRR which is an extremely well run Canadian company with an Aussie mine has gone about bringing the Beta Hunt into production in a sensible and Cost effective manner ,they bought a mill(Higginsville)and are now producing 120,000 ounces a year .Just about to buy another mill ,will refurbish it and increase production to 200-250,000 ounces a year in 2024.This is what Deg should have done.
So it is taking about 2 years to bring an old mill back into production ,this costs a fraction of a new mill .
No announcement from DEG about thier feasibility study and time line to production .Quite obvious that timelines will get pushed back.
Australias largest silver deposit applied for permits 18 months ago to build a mill ,still no approval even though there is strong public support to build it.
My prediction is a push back on the timeline for building a mill by DEG ,no chance it will be in profitable production in 2-3 yrs .
Costs to build a mill are escalating daily as interest rates rise worldwide ,which will precipitate a recession worldwide.
DEG has been overtaken by worldwide events which are profound.
