some might never fill, but majority do, i find.
and as this gap is so close now, and also a large gap of 8 tics,
we don't need a hole in price so large, we require stability for price eg: no gaps
and we don't want to come back here again that is for sure.
how a gap happens, examples. .stock goes into a trading halt, when it opens with news..is it good or bad ? either way market likes/dislikes so will either gap on open up/down..then is has 3 days to fill the gap, if it doesnt it goes into time for another day..
next example: market been pretty flat..closes for the evening..and some rumors start..not that there is inside trading, we all know that doesn't happen..but some are desperate to get into the share on open,so quote over price..then we have created another gap..same as selling..which also has 3 days to fill..
if not goes into time..
in the Futures market it a little different, as you can do your what knots in gaps..as say soy opens up with a gap up./down.you are short/ long but in the wrong side....and doesn't come back and fill,,if you don't have enough money in trading account to cover they sell you up..so you end up with no money and a debt
fun and games..same with index..settlement end of every day, and if you trade overnight it has a different margin eg: higher..our SPI is 25 dollars a tic..so you are long overnight..market up 30 tics = so $750 so go to bed happy,
wake up.in the morning,.market has rolled over your 30 tics is gone market down 60 tics..so you have lost your 750 and now down 1500..
