sohpisicated investors dont pay market price they get a upwards of 50% market discount in capital raisings for example ORP (market price was 2.5c 2 weeks approx back read the annoucement - Sophisicated investors got the stock at 1.8c)
They get cheap stock to give companies quick access to capital through brokers etc then they can sell on market at a profit. Its easy money if you have more than 3M networth - good broker contacts and 250K annual turnover income from sharemarkets +
that is how they win they screw existing shareholders over.
