Hi Croc-file, no guessing required. The company is currently in a lengthy suspension due to its cash position and uncertainty of funding. The SBLC is just a condition precedent of the CRBD loan, this has been known since last year, and yet no suspension was required until WKT's cash reserves started dwindling.

As for VAT credit, no one is privy to that information (including yourself) except for the company. New mining projects in Tanzania are typically eligible for VAT relief, meaning VAT is not be payable on eligible imports for up to 10 years, so whatever VAT credit is due may be nominal. Again, we don't know what VAT credit is due, but if the company was in a position of financial certainty it would not currently be in suspension.
