    Yes, that does sound plausible ... I have it in my head that they will achieve a min 10 mill scf/day from Kingfisher and that the Kingfisher resevoir will support 2 to 3 such wells and that there will be at least another 3 accessible target resevoirs elsewhere in the basin that will be similarly productive.

    On that basis, there could be conventional gas production of 60-90 mill scf/day (22-33 PJ/yr) within say a couple of years.

    I am not at all familiar with conventional gas, but relative to to the drilling, completions and drainage efforts not to mention the cost of recovering coal bed methane, getting just 3 mill scf/day so far out of Kingfisher appears to habe been a whole lot easier, quicker and cheaper.

    If there is indeed a lot more conventional gas in the basin, it might be a tough ask to convince MEL to develop the coal bed methane reserves any time soon 8))
