Being a realist is not scared of the future. In fact, I would argue he/she is less a caveman than you labeling so, as they are thinking for themselves, and in fact challenging the mainstream media.
Consider that Australia is no longer a quarry for China… I would argue, China is moving on, and Australia with its moral values, taxes, and first world standards we are pushing in the globe, will be left behind.
For instance, whilst we make it difficult to fund our coal and place extra taxes. South Africa and other countries will fill the void at a lower cost… thereby decreasing our share of sales from that quarry that provides our quality of life.
We need to be careful what we wish for…
