there was no official recognition of any sort of complication around the bitumen project until very recently.
there was just the "Simple bitumen" narrative, which was strangely punctuated by an inexplicable move into solar. which then gave way to another inexplicable move towards geo thermal.
there's still no official "story" as to why Greenvale energy, formerly greenvale mining, formerly greenvale energy, has switched back to energy, again, at all.
leaving investors with blanks to fill in themselves. how positive or negatively one fills in those blanks is really up to personal bias.
it's probably safe to say that this move to energy production has not come about voluntarily. it certainly never appeared in the original grand plans. and that the company is likely on the backfoot trying to shoehorn a solution.
I don't know about you but I have a distaste for solutions borne out of desperation.
but credit where credit is due - I really do think they're trying to make a solid go of the solution. whatever it ends up being. I really hope it works out for the good people here.
